Important Information for International Students who will be participating in
PDC or TOT in Kashmir.

Q. What are the dates for PDC?   
A. 2025 TBA
Q. Venue for the PDC course 2025?   
A.  GK Permaculture Demonstration site District Baramulla  
Q. Who is teaching the PDC?   
A.  TBA
Q. What language course will be taught in?   
A.  English
Q. Where will i be staying?   
A.  Accommodation will be provided, you will be staying in home with the Kashmiri Family  
Q. What about the food?   
A.  All meals will be provided (you will have to let us know if you have any food allergies)
Q. What about the transport?   
A.  Transport will be provided for the period of full course
Q. What about the transport from the Airport when i arrive in Kashmir?    
A.  One of our Permaculture volunteer will welcome you from the Srinagar Airport and will
   drive you where you will be staying during your course. 
Q. What is the fee and what does it include?  £600
A.  Your fee will include the full PDC course materials, accommodation, food, transport
   during the course and with Srinagar airport pick up and drop.  
Q. What is not included in the fee?   
A.  Airline tickets and travel insurance is not included in the fee, also transport for any
   local excursions is not included in fee
Q. How do i book the course?   
A.  Please fill the course booking form on our website and we will send you the details how
   to make the payment. 
Q. Do i need Visa?   
A. Foreign nationals wishing to travel to India are required to possess a valid passport of
  their country and a valid Indian visa.
Q. What kind of visa should i get?

 A. In most cases a tourist visa to India will be sufficient to enter the country, and the

   procedure to get it is quite simple.    

 
Q. How do I apply for visa??   
A.  You can apply for tourist visa either by visiting the office of Indian Embassy/High
   Commission/Consulate in the country where you reside or apply for online e-Tourist visa.
   At present, e-Tourist visa facility is available to citizens of 162 countries. To apply for
   e-Tourist visa, please follow this website.
Q. What is the weather like in Kashmir?   
A. The climate in Srinagar in during November- March is cold, so you will appreciate having warm cloths with you.The winter sun can be strong sometimes so do not forget hats and sunscreen!
Q. How do i come to Kashmir to do the Course and what transportation will be arranged from Airport?
A. There are 8-10 different airlines which fly every day to Srinagar,the Capital of Kashmir.
   From Delhi to Srinagar, which is 1 hour 20 minutes flight and you will need to book your
   flight in advance.
Q. What is the best day to arrive in Srinagar to do PDC? 
A.  We suggest you arrive a day or two before the course, so you can take some rest before the course starts.
Q. Can i fly directly from abroad to Srinagar?   
A. No, unfortunately at the moment Srinagar airport is not an International Airport, so you
   will have to fly first to Delhi and then to Srinagar.
